Publishing ethics

Submission of an article to SJC for review entails a guarantee that it has not been copyrighted, has not been published in or submitted to another refereed publication. Substantially extended versions of conference papers are acceptable as submissions, but in such cases the paper must state clearly how the work reported in it goes beyond the work previously reported, so that both reviewers and readers can easily establish the novelty. If any version of the paper has appeared, or will appear, in any other publication, the details must be made known to the Editors at the time of submission. If a submission is found to contravene these requirements, it will be rejected without review, and the authors will be blacklisted.

Authors must seek permission for all copyrighted material that they seek to use in their work. Authors are responsible for observing copyright laws when quoting or reproducing material. Every work quoted from or mentioned in the text must be included in the References section.

The submitted manuscript must be available for peer review without restriction.

The copyright of articles published in SJC is held by the publishers. Permission for the author to use the article elsewhere is granted by the publisher provided full acknowledgement is given to the source.
